Groton Community Collaboration Groton Community Collaboration:     The Groton Rotary Club combined efforts with Groton Central School District to provide whisper phones to students at Groton Elementary School. Whisper phones are PVC pipes put together and shaped like phones so students can read out loud and be able to better hear themselves read out loud and at a quieter volume.

A group of fifth-grade girls at Groton Elementary school have organized and collected materials to help the local SPCA and other charitable organizations.    
NYS Citizen Preparedness Corps NYS Citizen Preparedness Corps: GHS Students Attend Insurance Conference Babs Carr and her College and Career Prep class visited the NYS annual Insurance conference held at the Rochester Conference Center. Students were able to learn about the insurance profession, network with professionals, and be inspired by keynote speakers. A special thanks to Dryden Mutual Insurance for making this trip possible.

Groton STEAM Wing Update Groton STEAM Wing Update: Groton Jr. Sr. High School GROTON STEAM UPDATE November 1, 2018 Here we go! As can be seen from the pictures, the Groton STEAM Lab is just about up and running. Although the space has yet to be made fully available, that hasn’t stifled any of the creativity or ingenuity of the Groton STEAM program. The building trades crew is currently in the process of bending the arches for the greenhouses that are being built on the former skate park across the road from the high school. The location of the structure is laid out and the foundation posts are installed. The structural frame will hopefully be completed before the less than desirable weather settles into our region.
