Groton Educational Fund

       The Groton Educational Fund (GEF) was established to provide financial support for educational initiatives that supplement and enrich the Groton Central School District.   The GEF is one of the Designated Funds in the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.   Projects selected for funding are those outside the realm of the District’s general operating budget and are evaluated based on their ability to support our students by demonstrating a focus on academic excellence, support for innovative ideas, opportunities for collaboration and partnerships and financial efficiency.

        Fundraising programs for the GEF have included pancake breakfasts, merchandise sales, and the Memory Garden Brick Campaign. For those wishing to make a tax deductible donation to the Fund, please make out your check to the Community Foundation of Tompkins County — Groton Educational Fund. Mail your donation to Community Foundation of Tompkins County, 309 N. Aurora St., Ithaca, NY 14850.  Donations may also be made online (webpage - http://www.cftompkins.org/), designating the Groton Educational Fund as the recipient.
