
All students in kindergarten through grade five have access to academic intervention services at Groton Elementary School.
Academic Intervention Services:
use data to identify students at risk for poor learning outcomes
monitor student progress
provide evidence-based interventions
adjust the intensity and nature of those interventions

Data Sources for Academic Intervention Services (AIS)
Caregivers of a student receiving Academic Intervention Services (AIS) will be notified with the following information:
Type, location, & intervention provider
Frequency of intervention
The type of data to be collected, screening tool, & projected review date of the child’s progress
Resources to improve the child’s rate of learning
The right to request an evaluation for special education services
Progress reports will be sent home every ten weeks.
