The Positivity Project (P2) was launched at Groton Elementary School in the Fall of 2023 for all students from UPK through Grade 5. The Positivity Project is a character education curriculum dedicated to empowering America’s youth to build positive relationships by recognizing the character strengths in themselves and others.
Each classroom in the building dedicates 15 minutes per day to P2 to directly teach the character strength of the week each day.
Throughout the school year, different grade levels create a school-wide project to embrace the character strengths that students are learning about. These projects showcase the work that students are doing to develop their character strengths and create a positive school.
