With nearly twenty years in education, Billie Downs is passionate about all things college, career, and life readiness. She is a former business teacher turned administrator; joining the Groton leadership team in 2014. She has held various administrative roles and currently serves as the Career Center Director. The Career Center was created in 2023 to create time and space for self-discover and to help students plan with intention today to live their dreams tomorrow. Her creativity has brought many amazing, unique, and future-focused opportunities to students, including the popular Career Academy program. She also assist with curriculum development to bring more career-connected learning to the classroom.
