Groton Rural Youth Services has free afterschool programs for students. We are part of the Rural Youth Services through Cornell Cooperative Extension under the 4-H Dept. Our mission is to teach to provide meaning programs to our students. The PDFs is what we have for programs this round. Nothing says sleepy, “post halloween tired” like a pajama day at the Groton Elementary School!

Groton Elementary School - The Fall dance is coming up on November 8th! We can't wait to dance the night away with you! *New this year! All students MUST have an adult with them for the entirety of the dance. Before anyone can enter the gymnasium, all students must be signed in by an adult who will be required to stay with them while enjoying the fun! Thank you for working with us as we ensure the safety of all students!

As you are getting ready for Halloween, please consider donating any unused costumes to the bin in the Elementary School Lobby! If you are in need of a costume for your child, don't forget to check out what is being dropped off!

The GVPA (Groton Visual Performing Arts) is doing their annual Fruit Fundraiser to help support the Music, Drama and Art students. Please consider a purchase to help support our students. To order you can buy from a student that is in one of those groups or contact Angela Conger GVPA president at GVPA@grotoncs.org. Orders are due November 8th. Checks are payable to GVPA

Groton Elementary School Fall Festival and Parade Information

The Girls Varsity team won their first sectional game vs. Seton Catholic in a nail biter last night. The girls ended the game in regulation at 2-2 and headed into a double overtime before finally winning in a PK shootout. Goals by 8th grader, Violet Santspree and Junior Devyn Blasz. Assist by Junior Jill Zigenfus. MVP of the game goes to our goalkeeper Sophomore Stella Holl who denied 3 of the 4 PK shots from Seton Catholic to close out our game.
The girls play again at home on Friday vs. Unatego at 3:30 pm!
