Groton FFA Supply Drive


The girls modified soccer team beat Union Springs 1-0. Our defense held strong the entire game and Brooke Powers scored the winning goal in the 4th quarter.


Groton Jr.-Sr. High School will be conducting a scheduled Evacuation Drill tomorrow, 10/1/2024.

Groton Elementary School Open House Reminder
We are excited to welcome families to our Open House events happening this week!
> Tonight (5:30 - 7:00 PM): UPK through 2nd Grade
> Tomorrow (5:30 - 7:00 PM): 3rd through 5th Grade
Both events will be held at Groton Elementary School. During the Open House, families will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher, take a tour of the building, and explore our newly completed STEAM Lab.
In the lobby, you’ll find the following tables:
> Academic Support Information: Hosted by our Math and ELA Instructional Coach, Mrs. Camp.
> Food Service: Director Mrs. Neville will be serving 100% NY Beef Fully Cooked Meatballs as part of our “New York Thursdays” initiative, supporting local farms.
> “Rooms” Technology Support: Mrs. Bishop will be available to assist with the new communication platform.
> Groton Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO): Learn how to get involved and hear about upcoming events.
> Groton Girl Scouts: Promoting their programs and welcoming new members.

Varsity girls soccer won last night 5-1 vs. Odessa-Montour. Junior Devyn Blasz had a remarkable game ending with a hat trick. Junior Jill Zigenfus on a goal from a direct kick, placed perfectly over the head of the goalie and Sophomore Erica Gustafson with a goal as well. Assists from Junior Addie Clore, Kadyn Casterline, and Sophomore Erica Miranda.

The girls modified soccer team beat Lansing 1-0 last night. Alyssa Mejia scored the only goal of the game. Our defense played amazing which ultimately allowed us to win. Moira Roberts was our goalie the entire game never allowing them to score. Great job!


The girls modified soccer team won their game against Dryden 8-2. Carmen Bishop had 3 goals, Alyssa Mejia and Maddie Weeks had 2 goals and Phoebe Bishop scored a goal.
The entire team played well!

Groton Elementary School Scholastic Book Fair Information!


Families should drop off students at the designated curbside area to ensure safety and ease of access.
If you need to enter the school or are waiting during drop-off, please park in the front parking lot instead of the drop-off circle to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Today was our first NY Thursday and as you can see from the smile it was very well liked. We featured milk from upstate farms and cheddar cheese from great lakes for our homemade macaroni and cheese. These items were all produced in New York using products from NY farmers.
