🌿 Nature Navigators | Grades 2–5
Mondays, September 21 and 28 and October 5, 19, and 26
3:00–5:30 p.m. at the Groton Public Library
No program October 12. Please dress for the weather!
🚌 The Adventure Strollers | Grades 3–5
Wednesdays, September 23 and 30 and October 7, 14, 21, and 28
3:00–6:00 p.m. at Groton Elementary School
Students will visit museums, Fillmore Glen State Park, and other local attractions. The 4-H van will provide pickup and drop-off at the elementary school.
🍳 Global Gourmet | Grades 6–8
Tuesdays, September 22 and 29 and October 6, 13, 20, and 27
3:00–5:30 p.m. in Room 309 at Groton Middle School
Students will prepare culturally significant dishes and learn about their origins. Favorite family recipes are welcome!
🎃 Trunk or Treat Design & Engineering | Grades 6–8
Thursdays, September 24 and October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29
2:45–5:30 p.m. at Groton Middle School
The program will also participate in the Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 31.

🎓🐾 Pickles graduated!
After six weeks of puppy school, Pickles earned his AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification by successfully completing 20 important skills—and he was the youngest pup in his class at just 5½ months old!
Thank you to our students, families, and staff for welcoming Pickles with so much patience, kindness, and love. As he moves through a normal puppy fear phase, you may occasionally hear him bark when he feels unsure. A friendly wave and calmly giving him space will help him continue building confidence.
Under the careful guidance of Mrs. DeForrest, a certified animal-assisted therapist, Pickles will receive all the support and breaks he needs. He cannot wait to spend more time learning, playing, and spreading smiles throughout our classrooms and hallways!

We are excited to share Red Hawk Refuel, a student-led project that will bring a new snack cabinet to Groton to help keep students energized and focused throughout the school day!
The cabinet is expected to arrive in mid-September, and our community is already showing tremendous support — approximately 1,500 individual snacks have already been donated!
A special thank you to Aoife for her leadership, creativity, and dedication in bringing Red Hawk Refuel to life as she works toward earning her Girl Scout Silver Award. We are proud to see her take on a project that will have a meaningful and lasting impact on fellow Red Hawks! 🦅❤️🖤
